Rachel's Challenge invited our schools president to come talk about the kindness our school is going to be doing this holiday season. She mentioned how the S.O was starting toys for tots and organization that brings toys to kids in need and/ or sick. Therefore, to promote this event we made colorful posters to put all around the school. I can say that the poster were extremely uplifting and very festive for the holiday season with Christmas trees and presents. Also the chain of kindness group also worked on making our chain longer due to what you could say Christmas or Hanukkah spirit. The social media group was developing more ideas they could do for the schools website to tell the parents how there child could get involved and if they are involved what are they doing. The social media group wants to start a platform where they can spread kindness to everyone such as an Instagram account that will be filled with good deeds people have done and/ or uplifting saying to brighten anyones day. The new kids group worked on their letter to put into their backpacks. We decide to have a MS74 folder with a spiral notebook hopefully and a few pencils. We decided that the letter should consist of the clubs we have and what students are saying are the highlight of Nathaniel Hawthorne Middle School. Also maybe a reference sheet with peoples name on it just in case if they need help they could find that person.
