Rachel's Challenge is an amazing program at our school! During our meeting of Rachel's Challenge we divided into five groups. During this time we spoke about the importance of accepting Rachel's Challenge and how we could all help out. The five groups we split into are "The New Student Project" this committee organizes the welcoming of new students to the club and the school. The FOR members take turns sitting with a new student for lunch, showing around and giving them a tour of the school and inviting them to meetings. Our second group is "The Atmosphere Of Kindness Project" this committee created a banner that initiates decoration and positive actions with signs, sticky notes and etc. They pass sticky notes around the school giving words of encouragement! Our third group is "Paper Chains Of Kindness" we leave paper stripes outside the principals office in a box that students can assess and they write a witnessed act of kindness or something nice the someone said to them. They write it on a strip of paper put it in a box, and we keep track of making the strips and attaching them during our meeting. Our fourth group is the "Social Media Group" this group makes an instagram page that is monitored and we spread acts of kindness and encourage people to join FOR. We recognize people who are doing well or need support. Our last group is the "Outside Committee" this group does activities within our school to help out community and spread acts of kindness. Also during this time we took group pictures and signed a banner that we accept Rachel's Challenge. These meetings are a very important part of Rachel's challenge and being able to help spread acts of kindness, respect others, and learn of her story!
